HungryMan Gallery is pleased to present Landlocked: A Collection of New Landscape by Midwestern Artists — a group exhibition, featuring the works of Austin Eddy, Jennifer Krantz, Norman Long, Bethaney Mojsoski, Nicholas Nold, Heather Warren-Crow, Seth Warren-Crow, and curated by our own member Olivia Swider. Landlocked is an exhibition that explores notions of feminity, beauty, decay, abstraction, and documentation in relation to rural and urban Midwest landscape. The tradition of Midwest landscape thrives as a historically landlocked and disadvantaged territory — a flat land void of an ocean, cut off from other parts of the world. This show brings together a diverse group of artists who challenge and push the genre of landscape with fresh curiosity through, familiar imagery, innocent drawings, photography, performance, and a site-specific sound piece.
